The Program on Communication Skills
School is a place of learning. Sadly we often do not get chance to learn about the things that really matter to us there. Most of us learn all our morals and other primary skills in school. This one, some how is missed out.
The importance of communication skills has been heavily discounted in any kind of formal education that we undergo. It is the same with the other two very important things in life, money and sex. We are always shunned from talking about it as if it were some kind of sin. But everyone is doing everything to attain either of them. Thank god. The scene with communication skills is not so bad; nevertheless it is high time we all realize this. Another thing closely related to this topic is the issue of confidence. Some people are very clear on what they want to say but get into anxiety or panic attacks due to self esteem issues.
In the coming days, the importance of these sills will only increase due to closing of the gap between cultures and there will be an even bigger need for people who can interact with different cultures and survive
The following are the contents and outline of this program:
Day 1: Basic English
- Practice (Use of Audios Visuals).
Day 2: Grammar
- Noun, verb, adjective, pronoun.
- Active voice and passive voice.
- Grammatical Errors.
Day 3, 4, 5: Pronunciation
- The CH Sound.
- The PH Sound.
- The TH Sound.
- The WH Sound.
- Common Errors.
Day 6: Perfection
Effective communication is the key to making your dreams come true. Quality of expression and the art of communication can not be ignored if you need to be successfull in life. Whether you are communicating at school, professional work, presenting something, communicating with your teachers, peers, parents etc you need to be as effective as possible in order to put things absolutely clear. This workshop would lay strong emphasis on the mantra of Knowledge, Attitude & Skill (KAS).
